Sadly, with the sorry state of the Bay Area roads, and all kinds of objects on the roads and streets, tire repair is a task we seem to undertake almost every day. Not all tire damage can be repaired – there are two conditions that would stop us from repairing the tire - damage to the side wall or when the inner liner is damaged. If your tires suffered either of the two, we would offer you a replacement tire, because repairing a tire in either of these two conditions would make them unsafe. In other cases, we can perform tire repair, though it is a multi-stage process: First we inspect the tire on the outside looking for tread wear (if the tread is too worn, the tire needs to be replaced), tire rot, any obvious signs of other damage.
