Huge thank you to Bill and Crew, Our last appt was a need for oil change, a handling issue and noise in the front right side near the wheel. Maybe an "arm" issue. After diagnosing it Bill said "I'd rather save you money...so it's cheaper if you invest in a new set of tires." We got the new tires on the front and all is well. Solid turning and no more noise. We've never had a mechanic try to save us money and we've had auto repairs for over 30 years. It's too bad no one in the TRI-valley has quality mechanics. Everyone at Bud Adams treats you with respect. How refreshing. Bud Adams auto has been our new auto shop since May 2014. Thank you Bill and Staff.

Came to Bud Adams Auto for an engine noise (needed an oil change). They noticed a defective tire and had a new one ordered and changed next day, only having to drive on the spare for the short trip home overnight. We've relied on Bud Adams for about 20 years, since our previous mechanic retired. Wouldn't consider going to any other auto repair.

Wasn't sure about the place when I first moved to Castro Valley 20 years ago. But started to go there about 10 years ago and have been a loyal customer since then. The quality of customer care is great, and the service has always been done right.

I have been using Bud Adam's shop for several years for routine maintenance and have never been disappointed. In fact, I have found that the advice that I get from "Bud" has been so straight forward and honest that I treat him as my primary go-to advisor on any major automobile decisions. As an example, I own a 2004 Prius hybrid which recently displayed a warning that the main battery needed to be replaced. The Toyoda dealer gave us an estimate of about $4000. My wife and I were not sure that we wanted to sink that much more money into an almost 10 year old car.So we called Bud to ask his advise. Bud's understanding of the auto market and ability to clearly explain the options, including the likeliness of getting another 100 thousand miles of use out of the car made our decision very easy. We had Bud do the main battery replacement and some additional work and have been delighted with the results. Whenever I have a major automobile decision to make, I will always go to Bud.

As a new comer to Castro Valley, I asked around and Bud Adams Auto Repair was suggested. When I went in to see them, I said "I am a new widow, my husband always took care of the car. Please take care of my needs". I have been there, three times since. I"ll go again next week for a Transmission Oil change. Each time the car problems have been corrected and the car runs like a "great 1997 Pontiac" should.

Bud Adams diagnosed my problem and fixed it with one hour labor versus the dealer which always has minimum 2 hours labor. They also do not give you high pressure sales pitch for unnessary maintenance.

job as usual on 105K service on my 2008 Subaru. Bill even pointed out that we could wait on the head gasket "oil leak" which is currently so small that you can barely find it. Dealer wanted to get right on it to the tune of $1200. Have used Bud Adams for years. They are honest and give you realistic appraisal of your options.
