Castro Valley Auto Repair

For the last several years, I have driven over an hour to Castro Valley to Bud Adams Auto Repair for all my major services - oil changes, new tires, smog check, and 30k-60k maintenance services. Bill says on his radio show every week that he will "tell it to you straight...." He does. I went last week for a 90k Service and again they got it done in the time needed and were VERY Accommodating! They have saved me a lot of money over the last few years.

They repaired my Explorer power steering last year and it developed a leak about 10 months later. They honored the warranty and replaced the rack and pinion gear at no charge. They have worked on fuel system problems with my Windstar van and I have had no issues with these repairs.

They did a thorough inspection of my car the next day and found that the repairs weren't needed. They saved me around $800. Thank you so much. I will definitely come back here.

This was my first experience and it was a very good one. The lady who greeted me was very sweet and soon I was able to go off to my hike at Lake Chabot to relax. She had me fill out some paper work and off I went. She called me very shortly to tell me that my car was ready but come when your hike is done. No stress..got back late because I didn't think they would be done so soon..she says no problem! The price was great and my car runs great and then they gave me a referral to have some body work done. He was sweet reasonable and did a fabulous work also! Thanks I am a happy girl! Cheryl

I have been back to Bud's several times since last July when I first had my car serviced there. Some issues were simple - changing a tail light bulb (which they took care of on the spot, and btw, didn't charge me!) to routine servicing and battery replacement (the cheaper of the two Prius batteries - whew!). I have had only excellent service and prompt service from them. The office staff and mechanical staff are friendly, knowledgeable and competent. Prices are competitive. When asked about my car mechanic, I very readily recommend Bud's.

I took my car to Bud Adams after my old shop tried twice to fix my power steering leak but they were unable to. The staff is friendly, thy identified the problem, fixed it and it hasn't leaked since. I have since had my brakes done, air-conditioning recharged and electric seat fixed. Every time they fixed it fine with no problems. Their prices are fair (not cheap, not going to gouge you). They deliver when promised.

Bill and Becky are great at Bud Adams. We've been taking our Haonda CRV and Toyota Matrix there for years, but unexpectedly had to replace the clutch in one of the cars in April of 2013. They were so friendly, honest and practical about it that I didn't mind so much handing over the credit card for payment. The clutch would have needed to have been replaced anyway and better the work be done at a repair shop I trust- Bud Adams.

Great place to take your car and/or truck. Service is fast and follow-up is great. Prices are comparable, plus you get a 10% discount if you are a AAA customer, AND they guarantee their work for up to a year. We use them for all our vehicles from BMW to little Nissan truck...Nice neighbood too.

I had a flat tire on a truck I was borrowing and had no way to get the spare on. I pulled into their drive way and they promptly ran out and switched it for me at no charge. I think I will have to check these guys out when I need some work done on my car.
